- KS5 French language and culture courses
- 3 and 4 Day weekend trips for all key stages
£40 out of season reduction, September to April
Our centre is also very well suited for all types of staff training. Additionally, we have jointly organised courses with local education authorities for Primary teachers familiarising themselves with MFL teaching and learning in accordance with the new National Framework. Our course tutor is Stella Powling, author of the Rigolo Big Books series, published by Nelson Thornes.
Sample 5 day programme (KS2 Language course)
Monday:
Coach from school; morning ferry to Cherbourg/Caen; arrival and settling in at centre; initial language session; walk in village
Tuesday:
Language session, walk in fishing port of Port-en-Bessin; WW2 site at Longues; Arromanches; Caen castle; language session
Wednesday:
Bayeux trip; walk around historic town centre; visit to Tapestry; market buying fruit; language session; centre activities; sports (football, boules, volleyball)
Thursday:
Language session; local school visit and/or trip to beach; forest walk and /or farm visit; language session; games, songs and disco
Friday:
Presentation of certificates and prizes; trip toNormandy Caramels toffee factory; packing and departure to Cherbourg/Caen for return crossing All programmes are flexible and can be adjusted to suit your requirements. Courses are designed to exploit links to NC history, science, ICT, art and other curriculum areas, with ample opportunities for display and follow up work.
