Students from LWC successfully completed a week’s work experience in local primary schools and the Bayeux Office de Tourisme in October. With plenty of enthusiasm, our students not only demonstrated an excellent rapport with children in the classrooms of Bayeux, Port-en-Bessin and Etreham, but also developed confidence and  fluency in the use of French at the same time.

Hounslow 6th formers complete work experience week

Students from St Mark’s and The Green School have just successfully completed week long work experience placements at primary schools in the Bayeux area. As well as seeing their language skills and confidence in using French improve, all the students received glowing reports from the primary school headteachers.  Congratulations to everyone involved!

The apple harvest

All over Normandy, the apple harvest has been in full swing. The contribution to the harvest at Le Clos has been somewhat modest in quantity, but exceptionally tasty in flavour.

Storks nesting in Cotentin

At the nearby Parc Naturel in Cotentin many different species of bird make their homes over the summer – including dozens of storks. Our intrepid group of Kew botanists beat a path to them earlier this month.
