• Hounslow 6th formers complete work experience week

  Students from St Mark’s and The Green School have just successfully completed week long work experience placements at primary schools in the Bayeux area. As well as seeing their language skills and confidence in using French improve, all the students received glowing reports from the primary school headteachers.  Congratulations to everyone involved! • The apple harvest

  All over Normandy, the apple harvest has been in full swing. The contribution to the harvest at Le Clos has been somewhat modest in quantity, but exceptionally tasty in flavour.

• Storks nesting in Cotentin

  At the nearby Parc Naturel in Cotentin many different species of bird make their homes over the summer – including dozens of storks. Our intrepid group of Kew botanists beat a path to them earlier this month.

• Dawn in August

  Stella took this photo from her bedroom window this week. The light at dawn and at dusk is particularly beautiful on our stretch of the Normandy coast….though you have to be up early to catch it looking this good!

• An escape from busy North London to tranquil Normandy

    Simin and her friends from the Iranian Community Centre came over last week from busy, bustling North London  to enjoy the peace and calm of Normandy.

• From Kew to Commes…

  A party of Kew botanists from the Schools’ Education centre stayed last week, spending time examining the local flora and fauna…as well as the beaches and the gastronomic delights  of Normandy

  These six little swallows fledglings – living in the courtyard at Le Clos – are letting us know that they’re staying for the season…
